While I was still working full time, I received a message from my dear friend, Twyla, who said she saw a craigslist ad for a home full of vintage clothing. Discreetly stepping away from my desk, I called the number not knowing what to expect. You'd be amazed what some people consider "vintage clothing", but after speaking to the man on the other end, I instinctively felt the potential for my first vintage hoarding adventure was well within reach. Five o'clock never took longer to arrive, but as soon as it did, I was on the road for the 2 hour drive to a town in nowhere MS. I arrived around 7pm and left around 9pm with a car FULL, including this magnificent 1950s party dress. I returned for a second haul the following Saturday and drove a total of 8 hours to rescue as many betties as I could possibly afford. I'd say it was more than worth the effort, wouldn't you?
